Have you ever taken a bit of food and find yourself "mmming" out loud? Yeah. I did that here. Everything was really flavorful and seasoned well. Bonus points for the arugula on the portobella sandwich. They make some condiments in house, I had their spicy mayo which was so delicious I was dipping the fries in it. Yep. I also had the roasted beet salad and the pineapple cake, both were really good. That pineapple cake though! Get that in your belly! It's light, fluffy, fresh, fruity and just enough sweet.
Small and cozy dining area. Tables and counter seating. A few outdoor tables and outdoor food service. Overall excellent customer service! Staff are very kind and personable.
Local artists works are hung on the wall.
Lovely, lovely vibe. -

Very urban spot with an expansive drink menu and bomb food! I highly suggest the open faced blackened catfish sandwich, it's my favorite dish.
They have a pretty good happy hour menu, which runs from 5-7 pm. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming.
It's large enough to sit a group of people and there's also outdoor seating available. -

Great place, I love the environment! The menu is incredible, many great burgers and sandwiches! I had The Iberian burger, it was delicious!! My wife had the Po Boy sandwich, nothing Poor about it!
The service was great! Definitely coming back!! -

If there's one thing I love it's hidden gems! What precious finds they are. For me The Riverwest Filling Station is truly one of those.
Excellent spot for Saturday/Sunday lunch or brunch!! Not usually swarmed with people, either.
It has an eclectic feel inside with the modernized art yet still neighborhood vibe. The menus, both drink and food, are huge! While that's a little daunting, everyone is surely to find something they will enjoy!
Their beer list is really nice for those enthusiasts. I tried a Lakefront barrel aged imperial pumpkin ale (seasonal obviously, since it was November) and it was the bomb-diggity!!
For meals I've had a build-your-own frittata and recently the house smoked salmon sandwich. Both were good! And some bites of my friends meals, they have some great burger options and a few veggie/vegan options, too).
So, my advice is when you want to go to a cozy neighborhood place with great personality (servers have always been the most friendly here) for a nice brunch, lunch, or any meal - definitively check out The Riverwest Filling Station! Bring friends!
And if you can save room or get that to-go box for your meal, try dessert! They make the cakes in-house. My pineapple coconut cake with whipped cream frosting was the perfect islandy, not heavy or overly sugary ending! -

A hidden gem in Riverwest, in a discrete building on Keefe Ave and Pierce Ave. Decor is more industrial with painting from a local artist.
Had the avocado burger asked for medium and that's exactly what I got. Best of all the burger patty was thick and juicy. Also, loved the touch of arugula and bacon. The sauce of Squidbillies (calamari with tentacles) was good.
Eggroll popper is off the chain. Our host Grace was very informative and super nice. Definitely a place to try. And for me I will be coming back.
